What is International Education Week?

In a world where we are connected increasingly to each other through travel, business, academia, the environment, and global affairs the importance of us being aware global citizens is more important than ever before.

International Education Week gives our campus community the opportunity to celebrate the diversity of SNHU and the world around us. Throughout the week we will highlight opportunities to internationalize our SNHU experience through local involvement and international experiences. Come join us in this week of celebration, enquiry, and understanding. All events will be happening in Eastern Standard Time.

Global Café featuring Japan

Our Café highlights Japan. Come try some traditional treats and learn about some of the opportunities to experience Japan as part of your academic studies.

Global Pop Trivia Night

7:00-8:30 pm; Last Chapter Pub

Gather a team and test your world knowledge in this fun night. Also learn about opportunities to get involved with the World Affairs Council of NH and the International Students Association.

In today’s world, it’s important to communicate effectively with people from different cultures. Come learn about successful cross-cultural communication strategies and pitfalls to avoid, from Professor Andrea Bard. Also learn about her spring semester Intercultural Communication course featuring weekly guest speakers from different countries. There’s even an optional spring break trip to Sicily!

Creative Corner: Japanese Woodblock Art

1-3 pm; Innovation Lab & Makerspace, SNHU Library 1st Floor

Come make your mark through a taster session on Japanese woodblock printing. Each participant will have the chance to carve their own stamp and create a beautiful design using repetitive patterns.

Dia de los Muertos Celebration

Join us in celebration of Dia de Los Muertos while enjoying food, music and viewing traditional retablos.
